Etna wine tour and visit of two famous wineries on the North side of the highest active Volcano in Europe!
Etna wine tasting tour will show you the most exciting part of Mount Etna’s area.
– First stop of the Etna Wine Tour will be the medieval towns of Linguaglossa or Castiglione di Sicilia – depending on the schedule of the Tour. A walk through the historic center of the village will be an opportunity to visit the beautiful Cathedral, and to breath the peaceful life of one of the most beautiful villages at the feet of the Volcano. Breakfast or snack will be offered to start the day.
Then we will move to visit the first winery of the Etna Wine Tour. The winery is dated back to 1835, full of history and tradition. There you will meet an expert sommelier, who will introduce you into the world of Etna wines. Learn the story behind the production of each bottle of wine, from the time of the pruning, to the vendemmia or harvest, through to the fermentation and aging. Finally, lead by the sommelier you will taste six wines from different terroirs of the island. The tasting will be accompanied by soft Sicilian snacks.
– The second winery of Etna Wine Tour tour is located on the North part of the volcano Etna. In this winery with the friendly owner and the guide, you will visit the vineyards, the millstone, and you will walk around the barrels to learn about the tradition of wine production. Finally, let’s taste wines! You will taste one red, one white and one rosé wine. All the wines will be accompanied by a Sicilian lunch made by traditionally dishes. You will eat green olives, salami, Sicilian cheese, bread, and the famous dish “Pasta alla norma”. The lunch will finish with a delicious dessert.
You will back home at around 4.00 pm in the afternoon.
